Faculty and staff have a three month check out period, but items are subject to recall
if requested by another person. A-V materials and special collections circulate
by arrangement only. Videos and bound periodicals can be checked out for
no more than three weeks. A $50.00 fee (per item) is charged for lost material.
Faculty, staff and their families currently enrolled in classes at PTS
are subject to the same rules and have the same privileges as other
PTS students. Faculty/staff spouses without ID cards must apply
(without charge) for a Special Borrower Card.

Faculty may make arrangements to use reference books and unbound periodicals during a class period. They are asked to check them out just prior to class and to return them as soon as the class is over. ^^top
Requests for items to be purchased by the library may be made by any faculty or staff person. Advertisements accompanying your request may be useful. If your membership in professional/academic societies would help obtain materials at an reduced cost, please see the Library Director. ^^top
Interlibrary loan service is also available for faculty and staff. Any charges made by the lending library for interlibrary loans to supplement teaching or research will be absorbed by the library. Charges for personal use must by paid by the requester. ^^top
The Library Staff is eager to work with faculty in doing library research and especially assisting students in using library materials effectively. For example, the Seminary Library has (on CD-ROM, and on-line) several indexes to religious periodical literature and would be happy to schedule tutorial sessions for your classes in using these resources. Contact the Director of the Library for help or to make tutorial arrangements. ^^top
Personal copies of paperbacks, theses, dissertations, etc. can be sent to the bindery along with the library's materials. The charge for each item will be the same as what the bindery charges the library. The library is equipped to hot-glue bind in a soft cover loose pages up to two hundred sheets or to spiral-bind materials up to two inches thick. Charges range from $1.00 to $5.00.
A collection of current ATS catalogs is maintained for faculty information. They are shelved just outside in the Reading Room.
The library is a member of the AMIGOS/OCLC network. Faculty members
are welcome to utilize this centralized computer file for searching and
/or verifying bibliographic data. Arrangements to use the terminal may
be made by calling Sandy
Shadley
at (918) 270-6459. ^^top
