Phillips Offers Discerning Ministry Entrepreneurship Course

Phillips Theological Seminary has a two-day course April 26–27 that will help answer the question, “Should I start a church or a nonprofit?”

The course is offered with the help of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) New Church Ministry and National Benevolent Association offices and is open to all who register by April 19. Course instructors are:

  • Nancy Claire Pittman, president of Phillips.
  • Terrell L. McTyer, minister of new church strategies with the New Church Ministry.
  • Larry J. Morris, III, incubate program associate with the National Benevolent Association.

The course price is $40. The classes are April 26 and 27 from 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. at Phillips Theological Seminary, 901 N. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, Okla.

Students will engage in and reflect on interactive discernment exercises to help discover the call to do ministry differently. (READ more about this course.)
