| The Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright is pastor emeritus of Trinity UCC in Chicago, a congregation he led for 36 years, during which its membership grew to over 8,000 parishioners. Prior to retirement in 2008, under Wright’s leadership, Trinity adopted the motto, “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian.”
Wright will preach for the Phillips chapel service Sept. 15 available on YouTube. The service begins at 11:30 a.m.
He has published four books, a number of articles, and has also presented lectures all around the country on the topic of religious challenges faced by the Black church. |
